Flora and vegetation:

The SCI “Sacred Island” is characterized by important animal and vegetable species.

In this area there are coastal habitats with halophilic vegetation and sand dunes with “Vegetation pioneer to Salicornia and other species annual of the muddy and sandy zones"; "Pastures flooded mediterranean (Juncetalia maritimi)"; "Mediterranean Grasslands (Sarcocornetea fruticosi); "damp depressions ".

The habitats of E.U. interest occupy a great part of the SCI (80%).
