Pinus pinaster

The Pinus pinaster or Maritime Pine is an evergreen tree belonging to the Pinaceae Family that lives nearby the Mediterranean coasts. It’s aheliophilous specie which can be 1000 metres high and it forms forests on sandy grounds or an parent rock with acid reaction. This kind of evergreen tree is used to safeguard the litoral zones against the windy erosion and for the natural resin extraction.
